We are located at the corner of Elm St. and Main St (Rt. 159) in Agawam, Mass.

The First Baptist Church of Agawam, Massachusetts was organized January 26, 1790, and incorporated March 13, 1896.  It is one of the oldest Churches in the Pioneer Valley Baptist Association, and its growth has been steady and wholesome.  A friendly Church with strong family emphasis, it offers a genuine welcome to all who seek a Church home and an opportunity for Christian services.

In matters of belief we have no fixed creed as such, but we accept the New Testament as our rule of faith and practice, and prize highly our freedom to interpret the same as the Spirit of God may lead.  We  observe two ordinances - Believers' Baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper.   As we enjoy this freedom to discover truth for ourselves, we assume a charitable and Christian attitude toward all Christians who do not agree with us in matters of Church policy and doctrine.  We believe that Christian character and life, rather than forms and doctrinal accuracy, are the final test of Christian discipleship.

Without endangering our democracy and rights of self-government, we heartily co-operate with the American Baptist Churches - USA and The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts (TABCOM).

We believe that our Church has a bright future, and urge all who are in sympathy with our object and purpose as stated in our Covenant to unite with us.

Our worship service starts every Sunday at 9:30 AM.
